The Disability Act and Access Statement
Compliance with the disability act has been adhered to and overseen by the building regulation officers of Swansea City and County Council, with all entrances and customer services and conveniences fully compliant with the Accessibility act.
Equality
A full racial, age, disability and sexual equality policy will be drawn up and the management team will welcome customers and employees from all sections of the community. The bilingual policy will be adopted on signage; wherever possible, staff will be Welsh-speaking.
Green Dragon
We have entered into a waste analysis and emission report as part of the planning, building regulations and tender process.
The restoration work in visual terms bears witness to the intentions of the management team to sympathetically restore the historical and cultural aspects of the developments.
The design of the scheme has also taken into account the effect of the development on the environment with recycling and disposing of materials and waste being carefully managed and inspected by Swansea City and County Council.
The management team have also taken into account the long term effect the development will have on the immediate and surrounding environment. Standard procedures will be adhered to in ongoing use of energy, disposal of waste and the recycling of certain items for example: all biodegradable waste will be used as compost in the gardening and landscaping.
Metals and Plastics will be managed by the Swansea City Council recycling scheme with an application to have a facility on site. In the development we are working with Green Dragon and Arena Network to develop green measures where possible for example low emission of Co2.
